FIGURE OF GRANTEES OF UPI-NF JLEP SCHOLARSHIP, 1998-2017

The scholarship provided by Tokyo Foundation (TF), previously known as Nippon Foundation (NF) has been started since 1998, with UPI as the main MoU signatory together with two other affiliated members, UNESA (Surabaya) and UNIMA (Manado). Funding for this scholarship is actually derived from the interests of a bank endowment previously determined by the foundation. As the table below shows, in its initial establishment, the number of scholarship recipient from three institutions (UPI, UNESA, and UNIMA) reached 121 grantees of undergraduate students. This figure increased in 1999 and 2000 due to Rupiah inflation to the US dollar. In the following years, the number of grantees fluctuates, depending on the bank interest levels.
